Take Action: Improve Nursing Home Care Standards

California has spent more than a decade improving the quality of nursing home care, but staffing levels are still falling short. That means nursing home residents – and the workers who care for them are at risk.

Direct care requires time. If it’s rushed because there are not enough staffing hours per patient, a resident’s quality of life and health can suffer. Workers are at risk, too – often forced to complete tasks on their own that are dangerous.

That’s why we need a strong standard for Nursing Homes that ensures that there are enough staffing hours per resident each day to deliver the quality of care that everyone deserves.

Add your name, and we’ll deliver the following message to your legislator:

California needs to continue to invest in nursing home patient care. Despite more than a decade of investment, direct care staffing still falls short, and is below the federal recommendation of 4.1 nursing home hours per resident/day (hprd).

That’s why I’m asking you to support solutions that improve nursing home care.

Sincerely,
(Your Name)
